Michigan’s National Guard is facing severe cuts in the President’s proposed FY13 budget.
The FY13 Presidential Budget proposes to eliminate 1/3 of the Michigan Air National Guard. That translates to cutting 652 jobs, eliminating a Squadron of 24 A-10C Fighter Aircraft, and eliminating a Squadron of 4 C-27J Guard Airlift Aircraft for a combined negative economic impact to Michigan of over $300 Million.
